1.     What is mark-up language?
- A mark-up language is a set of tags and/or set of rules for creating tags that can be incorporated in digital text to provide additional information about the text in order to facilitate automated processing of it, including editing and formatting   for display or printing.  A popular example of mark-up language is HTML (Hyper Text Mark-Up Language). HTML allows a webpage to be displayed with layout functions like table, paragraphs, headings, title etc. It also provides hyperlinks to facilitate the location of resources like images, videos, other webpages, external links etc.

2.     Describe the processes involved for creating a web site using HTML and uploading the site to a web server.

-       Below is the list of three major steps involved in creating and publishing a website on web server: -
1)   The most basic website can be built using HTML.  A webpage could be created using a head, title and body HTML attribute in a text file. After adding these attributes, we only need to change the extension of text file to html.
2)   The second step involves setting up the server. Although there are multiple steps involves in selecting a server, but one can easily select a web hosting service provider like godaddy.  You can select a web-hosting plan according to your needs.  Also, you can select a custom domain for your website, and link it your web hosting server.
3)   Thirdly, webpages and folders can be uploaded on web server using a FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Alternatively, many web hosting service provider today allows user to use drag and drop features in transferring files from their personal computer to web server.


3.     Contrast the differences between creating web site using HTML and using a CMS.
-  Flexibility and Management  -The first important difference is that HTML websites are very difficult to manage, if they contain more than a few static pages.  However, Content management system provides solution for this web page management problem. A CMS is interacted with a user-friendly interface.

Code – HTML requires the understanding of its tags, attribute and coding. But, CMS assumes that the user do not have experience of coding websites.

Time – The HTML requires more time in building webpages. Whereas, the content of CMS website can be easily edited or modified.

4.     Describe the options and processes involved for installing Drupal.
- There are multiple options exists for installing Drupal. Below is the list of steps for installing Drupal: -
1) Working web server software
2) FTP client
3) SSH (Basic Unix commands)
4) Installation of Drupal software.

The other easiest method that exists for installing Drupal is installing Drupal via control panel provided by your web host. 

5.     What is Google Adwords used for?
- Google Adwords is the online advertisement service provided by Google. It works on a pay-per-click (PPC) basis, which means that the advertiser will only pay if the user/customer clicks on their advertisement. While this looks like a simple process, but Google continuously monitors the user clicks on advertisements to investigate false clicks, fraud clicks, and providing relevant advertisement to the user/customer.

6.     Describe some of the major security concerns for a Drupal web site.
-       There have been many major security concers for Drupal web site in past years that includes: -
1)   SQL injection
2)   CSRF vulnerability
3)   XML vulnerability – bringing website down.
4)   Insufficient transport protection and invalidated redirects.

7. Look into the options for creating a hosting account for your CMS assignment. Undertake the following tasks:
a. Choose the most suitable/viable hosting option for you (based on your technical ability and budget)
b. Establish a hosting account
c. Install Drupal
d. Configure the security settings for your Drupal site, and
e. Place a link to your Drupal site on your blog.
